Question of the Week

Looking for answers to life’s little questions? Well, you’ve come to the right place. From parenthood to meal-planning, our panel of experienced moms can add their insight and antics, and hopefully shed some light on the mysteries and joys of raising a family.

This week's question:

My son refuses to eat vegetables. I still manage to feed him lettuce and tomatoes, but his "hate list" of vegetables is constantly growing. Any advice on how I can convince him to eat green stuff? —Tanya

Our Answer:

Elizabeth: Try not to make too big a deal out of it in front of him. If you take a casual approach to it and put the veggies on his plate regardless of how he feels, eventually he might just take a taste and get used to it. Perhaps he’ll even end up liking it.

Of course, there’s always the “sneak” method where you can hide it inside your recipes. There are several good cookbooks on the market with wonderfully tasty ideas on how to do that.
